Instapaper, a popular service which allows you to save Web pages for offline reading, finally has an official Android app.

While Instapaper for Android isn't perfectly?identical to its iOS counterpart, the basics are the same.

"The Hunger Games"
Based on the best-selling novel by Suzanne Collins, this dystopian tale follows heroine Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), who, along with 23 other kids, must fight in an annual televised death match. Director Gary Ross brought the grim, post-apocalyptic world of Panem to life in a fiercely loyal adaptation worthy of its source material, grossing more than $600 million worldwide and making household names out of stars Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. Much has been made of stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's attempt at a Best Kiss four-peat, but let's not forget their vampire love story is also vying for a fourth consecutive win in the Movie of the Year category. I've said this before, but it's worth saying again. ?Arguing in support of of Planned Parenthood because they do things other than abortions or contraception has some value (because it's true), but making the argument just about that is, as noted below, conceding that those services are somehow shameful, wrong, something they shouldn't be doing, or something they (and, most importantly, the women who use their services) shouldn't be supported in.

I contribute to PPA ? not simply because they provide abortion services, but not despite that, either.

Stop saying we should support Planned Parenthood because they do more than reproductive-related services. Stop. Shut the fuck up about breast cancer screenings, and other STDs. Don't you see? Every time you repeat that shit you help further the intent of marginalizing reproductive health care. You help further the insane notion of separating out some woman's health-care issues from the reproductive ones as if a woman's health and her body is only her own to take care of when it comes to things that are not reproductive-related. Stop helping the anti-sex crowd.

Support Planned Parenthood because a woman is a whole person, and a healthy sex life is part of being an adult woman, and taking care of an entire human being includes taking care of the entire body. Support planned parenthood because they treat sexual organs as an integral part of an autonomous person's whole body, not despite of it!

That reply is a retreat. It's conceding a point that abortions and birth control are on the table for discussion, while these other treatments are not. I proclaim that abortion and birth control must not be on the table for discussion. This is not a point we should be conceding. It's the logical surrender inherent in turning the conversation away from birth control that I defy.

Cordish Urges Md. To Wait On Additional Casino ? CBS Baltimore

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) ? A special gaming commission is deciding if Maryland should open an additional casino and allow table games at all state slots locations.

Political Reporter Pat Warren has more on the problems and possibilities.

The possibilities are for additional revenue for the state that could offset additional tax increases. The problems are a little more complicated than that.

Maryland Live opens in Anne Arundel County June 6, the long-awaited debut of the state?s biggest slots casino.

?We have 1,500 permanent employees here, we had 2,500 construction workers,? Joe Weinberg of the Cordish Company said.

Yet, still a week until the official opening and already it appears the game is changing.

?I think it?s not fair,? David Cordish, chairman of the Cordish Company, said.

The game changers are on this gambling commission? appointed by the governor and including members of the House of Delegates and Senate? to determine if Maryland needs to rework its original slots plan, put a casino at National Harbor, include table games and reduce the percentage of the state?s take.

?And, if appropriate, develop consensus legislation for consideration at a special session of the General Assembly in July,? John Morton, chairman of the commission, said.

That plan for a special session has been confirmed by the governor and Senate and House leaders who saw the gaming issue clog the works on the last day of the reguar legislative session.

The Cordish Company says changing now would create hurtful competition for Maryland Live.

?You make a deal, you stick with it,? Cordish said.

But Caesars Entertainment, which is applying for the Baltimore slots location, sees an advantage.

?We?re prepared to support the addition of another license in Maryland if we?re allowed to provide table games at a more moderate tax rate for our slot machines in Baltimore,? Gary Loveman of Ceasars Entertainment said. ?This has to be a winner for the City of Baltimore.?

There?s a lot to be considered. And they don?t have a lot of time to consider it. They are will to present their plan to the governor on June 20.

As of now, only two of the five designated slots locations are in operation.
