TE Connectivity?s Motorman and power4Net hybrid connectors can now be sourced from TTI. The Motorman connector allows for decentralized automation and can lead to a more efficient, energy-saving industrial production line. TE?s Power4Net connector is seen as ideal for machine automation applications that require a higher performance data connection and power of up to 10A.
The Motorman hybrid connector eliminates the need for multiple cables and connectors by offering a solution that integrates signal and power transmission with two high speed Ethernet communication sockets. It offers the full benefits of real-time automation control, while reducing cabling complexity. A compact design allows for efficient use of space and the robust contact system minimizes the effects of impact and vibration. A spacious side internal access assists easy and safe configuration. All contacts may be mounted selectively allowing for design flexibility. The sealing element offers IP65 protection and covers cable diameters from 13mm to 17mm. TE?s Motorman hybrid connector has been designed for use in applications like I/O connector for decentral and AC servo motors, drivers (amplifiers) as well as industrial packaging, assembly, woodworking or food processing machines.
The Power4Net connector provides highly reliable connection technology and meets the demanding durability and quality requirements of real-time Ethernet applications in industrial automation applications. Combining power supply and signal into one single connector provides customers with greater flexibility in machine architecture. With VARAN-bus standard compatibility the connector is especially suitable for use in the molding industry, as it enables quicker change-over time for molds, reducing installation time by up to 50 percent as fewer cables and connectors have to be installed. The Power4Net hybrid connector is available with a housing containing 8 power contacts and fast Ethernet interface or with a housing featuring 11 plus PE (Protection Earth) contacts. The extremely robust contact design with stainless steel locking lance and multiple contact points offers longer durability. Gold, silver and tin plated contacts meet industrial automation requirements. Radial sealing elements provide IP67 sealing performance. A turning catch-lock ensures safe locking even in high shock and vibration applications. Main target applications for TE?s Power4Net connector are high-performance process control systems, machine automation, factory automation systems, control valves and control units, stand-alone or remote power units, as well as railway systems and outdoor transportation control systems, says the company.
