Job Description:

The Associate Vice President for Marketing is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and communications plan for the College in support of the OneLeMoyne mission, vision and strategic objectives.

The Associate Vice President of Marketing will support the College, serving the President and working closely members of the President's Cabinet, to develop and execute an integrated marketing and communications strategy to advance the Le Moyne's local and national recognition and position the College as a premier Jesuit academic institution.

The AVP for Marketing will support and facilitate the development of a broad array of innovative marketing, branding and communications strategies, including traditional, online and social media applications, designed to promote all College programs. Responsible for maintaining and tracking the overall marketing budget, the AVP for Marketing will responsible for identifying and recommending appropriate tactics to reach constituents efficiently and effectively, while serving as the primary point person for maintaining the consistency of the College's branding and messaging externally and internally.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead the college's integrated marketing efforts in collaboration with all divisions and academic departments of the college.
  • Identify and execute effective marketing activities to enhance and support student recruitment, institutional advancement, faculty achievements, campus events and other institutional initiatives.
  • Oversee the college's media and public relations department and act as spokesperson for the institution, when needed.
  • Lead the college's communication strategies with consistent and effective messaging and branding that will positively impact the college's mission, goals, and strategic objectives in alignment with OneLeMoyne.
  • Develop relationships with local, national and international media that will elevate the reputation and public awareness of the college.
  • Oversee the college's production of marketing materials, including in-house graphic design and external marketing vendors.
  • Manage the college's print, digital, online and social media presence for marketing, branding and communication.
  • Develop internal communication strategies to foster campus community and connection.
  • Develop messaging and provide speech writing support for President and select campus leadership.

Requirements:

EDUCATION: Requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent leadership experience in Marketing, Communications or related fields, Master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 8 to 10 years progressive leadership experience in marketing, communication and branding profession preferably in a higher education, corporate, or agency setting.

PREREQUISITES:

  • Strong marketing and communications experience and expertise.
  • Ability to develop integrated plans and programs for complex organization required.
  • Broad knowledge of current, leading marketing tactics, effective branding principles, integrated marketing, social media and internal and external communications best-practices.
  • Knowledge of development and campaign communications.
  • Interest in and familiarity with Jesuit higher education.
  • Ability to manage internal and external business partners.
  • High level of creativity and ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including speech writing.
  • Strong understanding of public media.
  • Experience in working with and advising people in high level positions.
  • Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to excel in a diverse environment with tact and flexibility.
  • Experience with new media and online advertising.
  • Self starter with a hands-on approach and ability to manage multiple priorities.
